How this calendar works

The sky is calculated, not copied

Moon phases, eclipses, retrogrades, sign changes and planet sightings are worked out with astronomy-engine, an open source library whose positions are accurate to about one minute of arc. The Moon sign on each day is where the Moon sits at midday UTC.

Festivals come from published calendars

Lunar and religious festival dates are taken from published calendars. Some move by a day depending on your country or tradition, so we mark those as "around". Meteor shower peaks are the usual peak nights.

Astrology and numerology are for reflection

Retrograde meanings, portal days and day numbers are traditions people use to pause and think, not promises about what will happen. Take what helps you and leave the rest.
