How it works
The sky is calculated, not copied
Moon phases, eclipses, retrogrades and sign changes on our calendar are worked out with astronomy-engine, an open-source astronomy library. Festival dates that vary by tradition are marked as approximate.
Your daily horoscope
Each sign’s reading is built from its traditional meanings: ruling planet, element and modality. It is the same for everyone of your sign that day and changes daily. Nobody writes it by hand for you each morning, and we would rather you knew that.
Your numbers
Your personal day number uses standard numerology: your birth month and day added to today’s date, then reduced. Master numbers 11 and 22 are kept.
The guides
Our articles explain each tradition in plain English. Where traditions disagree, we try to say so, and to keep opinion apart from fact.
What astrology is, and is not
Astrology is a symbolic language. People have used it for thousands of years to think about their lives, and we treat it as a mirror for reflection, not a promise about the future. When we say what a moon or a number means, we mean that is how many astrologers read it.
It is never a substitute for a doctor, a therapist, a lawyer or a financial adviser. If you are struggling, please talk to someone you trust.
How we make money
Every tool and every article here is free. We sell one thing: Your Year Ahead, a personal reading for your next 12 months, for $19. One payment. No subscription. No account. If it does not speak to you, email hi@dailydestiny.app within 30 days for a full refund.
A few of our product reviews contain affiliate links. If you buy through one of those links, we may earn a commission.
