Lucky Days 2027: The Best Dates for Big Moves, Month by Month

By DailyDestiny Editorial Team

The short answer

The luckiest stretches of 2027 are April 8 to 19, May 7 to 19, July 5 to 14, September 2 to 14, November 1 to 13 and December 1 to 10. In each, the Moon is waxing, Mercury and Venus are moving forward and no eclipse is near. The weakest stretches are February, June 10 to July 4, mid July to the end of August and October 7 to 28. If you want a single standout day, Sunday May 16 has Venus at home in Taurus and the Moon waxing in Libra.

What are the luckiest days of 2027?

There are years when you feel you are always pushing against something. Then there are the days when everything seems to line up: the call gets answered, the paperwork goes through, people say yes. Astrologers have spent centuries trying to find those days in advance.

This guide lays out the whole year, month by month, with the good days and the days to rest. Every date was worked out with astronomy-engine, the same engine behind this site's cosmic calendar, and checked against Time and Date for moon phases and Astro-Seek for void-of-course times. All dates here are for US Eastern time. If you live far from there, a date near midnight can shift by a day, and the free cosmic calendar on this site shows them in your own time zone.

Use it as a planning tool. Put the important calls, launches, signings and first steps on the good days. Put rest, tidying and thinking on the rest.

What makes a day lucky in astrology is not one planet but a combination of quiet green lights. A waxing Moon is read as growth. A direct Mercury is read as clear communication and smooth paperwork. A direct Venus is read as goodwill in love and money. No eclipse nearby means fewer sudden plot twists. And a Moon that is not void of course means what you start has somewhere to go.

In 2027, the big background story is kind. Venus has no retrograde all year. Jupiter, the planet astrologers call the great benefic, turns direct on April 12 and moves from Leo into Virgo on July 26. Saturn spends the whole year in Aries. Mars is retrograde early in the year, from January 10 to April 1, which is why the first quarter of 2027 feels slower than the spring.

The rough patches are easy to name. Mercury is retrograde from February 9 to March 3, June 10 to July 4 and October 7 to October 28. Eclipses fall on February 6 (an annular solar eclipse in Aquarius), February 20 (a penumbral lunar eclipse in Virgo), July 18 (a penumbral lunar eclipse in Capricorn), August 2 (a total solar eclipse in Leo) and August 17 (a penumbral lunar eclipse in Aquarius). Astrologers read the weeks around eclipses as busy, unpredictable and better for endings than for new starts.

For specific goals, this site has deeper guides that use the same method. Best Wedding Dates 2027: Astrology, Numerology and Chinese Lucky Days covers weddings. Is 2027 a lucky year overall?

Astrologers would call 2027 a steady, relationship-friendly year. Venus stays direct all year, Jupiter brings warmth to Leo and then care to Virgo, and the numerology of the year adds to 11, which reduces to 2, the number of partnership. The trickier parts, the eclipses and retrogrades, fall in clear windows that are easy to plan around.

Do lucky days work if you do not believe in astrology?

There is no scientific evidence that the planets decide outcomes. What a calendar like this does give you is a plan: a reason to pick a date, prepare for it and show up ready. Many people find that alone makes a difference. Treat the sky as a gentle guide and your own effort as the real engine.

How do astrologers pick a lucky day?

Astrologers pick a lucky day with electional astrology, which works like a sieve: first remove the days with known problems, then choose among the rest by Moon phase and Moon sign. The order usually goes like this.

1. Skip retrogrades that matter for your goal. Mercury retrograde for contracts, travel, tech and communication. Venus retrograde for love, beauty and money. Mars retrograde for competition and physical effort.

2. Skip eclipse days and the stretch between paired eclipses. In 2027 that means February 6 to 20 and July 18 to August 17.

3. Choose a waxing Moon to start something. The Moon growing from new to full is read as growth. A waning Moon is better for finishing, cutting back and letting go.

4. Avoid the void-of-course Moon at the key moment. This is the gap after the Moon's last major aspect in one sign and before it enters the next.

5. Match the Moon's sign to the purpose. Taurus and Capricorn for money and lasting things. Cancer for home. Leo for visibility and joy. Libra for partnership. Virgo for careful work. Gemini for messages and short trips.

6. Check the day against your own chart. A generally good day can still land hard on one person's chart.

Each rule has a simple logic once you know what the planets represent. Mercury is the messenger, so when it appears to move backwards, astrologers read messages, contracts and plans as likely to need a second look. Venus rules love and value, so her retrograde is read as a time to reconsider rather than commit. Eclipses fall when the Sun and Moon line up with the lunar nodes, and tradition reads them as sudden turns of fate.

The void-of-course Moon is the least known rule, and one of the most practical. Most voids last a few hours, but some last a day or more. In 2027 there are long voids on days such as March 20 and 21, April 9 and 11, May 15 and December 4. Tradition says things started then tend to fizzle or change. Void of Course Moon: What It Is & How It Affects You explains the idea and why so many astrologers swear by it.

The last rule, matching the Moon's sign, is where the art comes in. A Taurus Moon is read as slow and steady, which suits signing a lease or opening a savings plan. A Gemini Moon is quick and chatty, which suits pitching or networking. An Aries Moon is bold, which suits a first step you have been putting off. You do not need to memorise all twelve. The monthly lists below note the Moon's sign for each good day, so you can choose the one that fits.

One thing astrologers agree on is that a good election helps a good plan, not a bad one. The sky adds a tailwind. It does not replace the preparation.

Why is a waxing Moon better for new starts?

In almost every tradition that times things by the Moon, the growing Moon is linked with growth and the shrinking Moon with release. Farmers' almanacs plant above-ground crops on a waxing Moon, and astrologers launch things on one. The days just after the new moon are read as a fresh seed, and the days before the full moon as building toward a peak.

What does a void-of-course Moon mean for my plans?

Tradition says that what you start during a void-of-course Moon tends to come to nothing or turn out differently than planned. It is a good time to rest, tidy, reflect and finish existing tasks. You do not need to stop living. Just avoid signing, launching or asking big questions during those hours, and check the exact times for any day you plan to use.

What are the lucky days from January to June 2027?

The first half of 2027 starts slowly, opens up in April and May, and closes with a short burst in early June. Here is each month, with its best days and the days to rest.

January: new moon in Capricorn on January 7, full moon in Leo on January 22. Mars turns retrograde on January 10. Good days: January 11 and 12 (Moon in Pisces), January 14 (Aries), January 17 and 18 (Taurus). Rest days: January 8, 21 and 25, when the Moon is void for most of the day, and January 9, a year-breaker day in the Chinese almanac.

February: the quietest month of the year. An annular solar eclipse in Aquarius on February 6, which is also Chinese New Year, Mercury retrograde from February 9 and a lunar eclipse in Virgo on February 20. There are no clean days for launches. Use it for planning, rest and finishing old business.

March: Mercury turns direct on March 3, the new moon in Pisces falls on March 8, the equinox on March 20 and the full moon in Libra on March 22. Good days, with Mars still retrograde: March 9 and 10 (Pisces into Aries), March 12 (Taurus), March 14 (Gemini), March 16 (Cancer), March 18 (Leo). Rest days: March 19 to 21, when long voids stack up.

April: the best month of 2027. Mars turns direct on April 1, the new moon in Aries is on April 6, Jupiter turns direct on April 12 and the full moon in Scorpio is on April 20. Good days: April 8 (Taurus), 10 (Gemini), 12 (Gemini into Cancer), 14 (Cancer into Leo), 15 (Leo), 17 (Virgo) and 19 (Libra). Rest days: April 7, 9 and 11 for long voids.

May: new moon in Taurus on May 6, full moon in Scorpio on May 20, Venus enters Taurus on May 14. Good days: May 7 (Taurus into Gemini), 9 (Gemini into Cancer), 12 (Leo), 14 (Virgo), 16 (Libra), 18 and 19 (Scorpio). Rest days: May 15 (void from 8:48 AM to 6:33 PM), May 17, and May 22, an Ox day.

June: new moon in Gemini on June 4, Mercury retrograde from June 10, full moon in Sagittarius on June 18, solstice on June 21. Good days: June 6 (Cancer) and June 8 (Leo). From June 10 to July 4, keep big signings and launches on hold.

If you can only choose one window in the first half, choose April 8 to 19. It is the first time in 2027 that Mercury, Venus and Mars are all direct with a waxing Moon, and Jupiter joins them on April 12. Astrologers would call it the cleanest launch window of the spring. If April is too soon, May 7 to 19 is almost as good and adds Venus at home in Taurus from May 14, which is especially kind to money, beauty and love.

The early months are slower for a reason. Mars, the planet of drive, is retrograde from January 10 to April 1, first in Virgo and then in Leo. Astrologers read Mars retrograde as a time when effort turns inward and frustration builds if you force things. It is a good time to finish, repair and train, and a weaker time to start a fight or a race.

February deserves a special note. Chinese New Year falls on February 6, the same day as the annular solar eclipse, and the Lantern Festival on February 20 coincides with the lunar eclipse. Mercury turns retrograde between them. If you celebrate the Lunar New Year, enjoy the family time and the fresh start in spirit, and keep the practical new starts for spring.

The March list includes Mars retrograde days because the rest of the sky is clean. If your plan is physical, competitive or needs a lot of energy, wait for April. If it is a quieter start, such as a course, a savings habit or a creative project, mid March works well.

What are the lucky days in March 2027?

The best March days are March 9 and 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18, after Mercury turns direct on March 3 and the new moon in Pisces on March 8. Mars is still retrograde until April 1, so astrologers would choose these for gentle starts rather than big competitive pushes. Rest on March 19 to 21, when long void-of-course periods cover most of the days.

What are the lucky days in May 2027?

May 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, 18 and 19 are the clean days, between the new moon in Taurus on May 6 and the full moon in Scorpio on May 20. May 16 is the standout, with the Moon in Libra and Venus newly home in Taurus. Avoid May 15 between 8:48 AM and 6:33 PM, when the Moon is void, and May 22, an Ox day.

What are the lucky days from July to December 2027?

The second half of 2027 has a strong July start, a quiet August, and some of the best days of the year in September, November and December.

July: Mercury turns direct on July 4, a day after the new moon in Cancer on July 3. The full moon in Capricorn on July 18 is a penumbral lunar eclipse, and Jupiter enters Virgo on July 26. Good days: July 5 (Cancer into Leo), 6 (Leo), 7 (Leo into Virgo), 8 (Virgo), 10 (Libra), 12 (Scorpio) and 14 (Sagittarius). From July 15, the eclipse season begins.

August: the total solar eclipse in Leo on August 2 opens the month, Saturn turns retrograde on August 9 and a penumbral lunar eclipse in Aquarius falls on August 17. The Chinese Hungry Ghost month runs from August 2 to August 30. There are no clean launch days. Use it to review, rest and prepare for September.

September: a new moon in Virgo on August 31 opens a clean run. The full moon in Pisces falls on September 15, the equinox on September 23. Venus enters Libra on September 13. Good days: September 2 (Virgo into Libra), 3 (Libra), 4 (Libra into Scorpio), 10 (Capricorn), 11 (Capricorn into Aquarius), 12 (Aquarius) and 14 (Pisces). Note September 9, a month-breaker day.

October: new moon in Libra on September 29, full moon in Aries on October 15, Mercury retrograde from October 7 to October 28, new moon in Scorpio on October 29. Good days: October 2 (Scorpio), 4 and 5 (Sagittarius), 6 (Sagittarius into Capricorn) and 31 (Scorpio into Sagittarius). Hold big signings from October 7 to 28.

November: full moon in Taurus on November 13, new moon in Sagittarius on November 27. Good days: November 1 (Sagittarius), 3 (Capricorn), 5 (Capricorn into Aquarius), 8 (Pisces), 12 (Aries into Taurus) and 13 (Taurus). Rest days: November 4 and 9 for long voids, and November 6, an Ox day.

December: full moon in Gemini on December 13, solstice on December 21, Saturn direct on December 23, new moon in Capricorn on December 27. Good days: December 1 (Capricorn), 2 and 3 (Aquarius), 5 and 6 (Pisces), 7 and 8 (Aries), 10 (Taurus) and 30 (Aquarius). Rest days: December 4 and 9 for long voids, December 12, an Ox day, and December 31, void most of the day.

If you want one window in the second half, astrologers would point to September 2 to 14 or December 1 to 10. Both have Mercury, Venus and Mars direct, no eclipse anywhere near, and a waxing Moon moving through a long run of useful signs. December in particular is wide open, with eight clean days in its first ten.

The July window is short but strong. Mercury turns direct on July 4, and from July 5 to July 14 the waxing Moon moves from Cancer through Leo, Virgo, Libra and Scorpio into Sagittarius. After July 15 the eclipse season builds, with the lunar eclipse on July 18 and the total solar eclipse in Leo on August 2. The last eclipse of the year falls on August 17.

The August total solar eclipse is a big one for astrologers because it falls in Leo, the sign of the heart, creativity and visibility. They read the weeks around it as a time when what you have been hiding wants to come into the light. That can be powerful for personal change, and less ideal for launching anything you need to stay calm and steady.

A note on Mercury shadow periods. Astrologers who are careful about contracts also avoid the few weeks either side of a Mercury retrograde, called the shadow. In 2027 the shadows run from January 25 to March 23, May 26 to July 19 and September 17 to November 13. For everyday plans you can ignore them. For a big contract, a launch or a house closing, the clean days that fall outside them carry the most weight.

What are the luckiest days in December 2027?

December 1 to 10, 2027 is one of the cleanest runs of the year. Mercury is clear of its shadow, Venus and Mars are direct, no eclipse is near and the Moon waxes from Capricorn through Aquarius, Pisces and Aries into Taurus. The clean days are December 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 10. December 4 has a long void, and December 12 is an Ox day.

Is August 2027 an unlucky month?

Not unlucky, but busy. August holds the total solar eclipse in Leo on August 2 and a lunar eclipse on August 17, Saturn turns retrograde on August 9, and the Chinese Hungry Ghost month runs from August 2 to 30. Astrologers would use it for reflection, rest and wrapping up, then save fresh starts for September. Daily life carries on as normal.

Which days in 2027 should you avoid for big moves?

Avoid Mercury retrograde, the eclipse seasons and long void-of-course days for anything you want to start cleanly. Here is the full avoid list for 2027, in order:

January 10 to April 1: Mars retrograde. Second tier for physical, competitive or high-energy starts.

January 25 to March 23: Mercury's shadow and retrograde. The retrograde itself runs February 9 to March 3.

February 3 to 23: the first eclipse season, with eclipses on February 6 and 20.

May 26 to July 19: Mercury's shadow and retrograde. The retrograde itself runs June 10 to July 4.

July 13 to September 10: Venus very close to the Sun. A soft caution for love and money matters.

July 15 to August 20: the second eclipse season, with eclipses on July 18, August 2 and August 17.

August 2 to 30: the Hungry Ghost month in the Chinese calendar.

September 17 to November 13: Mercury's shadow and retrograde. The retrograde itself runs October 7 to October 28.

And on any single day, skip the hours when the Moon is void of course for the moment you sign, launch or ask.

That looks like a lot of red, but it rarely covers everything at once. Most of April, May, early July, early September, November and December are clear. The point of an avoid list is not to stop your life. It is to stop you scheduling your biggest moment on the one day astrologers would warn you about.

There is a simple way to think about each kind of caution. Retrogrades are read as times to revisit, repair and reconsider. They are wonderful for finishing a draft, going back to an old idea or reconnecting with someone. Eclipses are read as turning points, so they suit endings and big shifts more than gentle starts. Void-of-course Moons are read as pauses, so they suit rest, routine work and reflection.

If a date you cannot move falls inside one of these windows, astrologers suggest working with the theme instead of against it. During a Mercury retrograde, double-check every detail, keep copies and leave extra time for travel. Near an eclipse, keep plans flexible. During a void Moon, finish what you started rather than starting something new.

The moon-phase guides on this site go deeper into the rhythm of each month. Moon Phase Manifestation: How to Manifest with Lunar Cycles explains how to use the waxing and waning halves of the month, and New Moon Rituals: Setting Intentions & Manifesting Your Dreams has simple ways to mark each fresh start.

When is Mercury retrograde in 2027?

Mercury is retrograde three times in 2027: February 9 to March 3 (in Pisces and Aquarius), June 10 to July 4 (in Cancer and Gemini) and October 7 to October 28 (in Scorpio and Libra). Careful astrologers also watch the shadow either side: January 25 to March 23, May 26 to July 19 and September 17 to November 13.

When are the eclipses in 2027?

There are five. An annular solar eclipse in Aquarius on February 6, a penumbral lunar eclipse in Virgo on February 20, a penumbral lunar eclipse in Capricorn on July 18, a total solar eclipse in Leo on August 2 and a penumbral lunar eclipse in Aquarius on August 17. Never look at a solar eclipse without certified eclipse glasses.

What are the Chinese lucky days in 2027?

In the Chinese almanac, a lucky day in 2027 avoids clashes with the year, the month and your own birth animal. Every almanac shares three basic rules, and you can apply them yourself.

The year's clash. 2027 is the Year of the Fire Goat. Chinese New Year falls on February 6, and the almanac year turns at Spring Commences on February 4. The Ox sits opposite the Goat, so Ox days are year-breaker days, read as unsuitable for weddings, moves, openings and other big events. Before February 4, in the Horse year, Rat days take that role.

The month's clash. Each Chinese month has its own animal, starting at a solar term. The day animal opposite the month's animal is the month breaker. In 2027 these include January 16, May 8, September 9 and December 4.

Your own clash. The six clashing pairs are Rat and Horse, Ox and Goat, Tiger and Monkey, Rabbit and Rooster, Dragon and Dog, and Snake and Pig. Tradition says to avoid days of the animal that clashes with yours. A Rabbit would skip Rooster days, for example.

The Hungry Ghost month. The seventh lunar month runs from August 2 to August 30, 2027, according to the Hong Kong Observatory's calendar. Many families avoid weddings, moves and openings in this month.

Each day in the Chinese calendar has an animal, and the twelve animals repeat in order every twelve days: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Pig. That makes Ox days easy to find once you know one. In 2027, for example, May 22, November 6 and December 12 are Ox days, and so is every twelfth day before or after them.

The full almanac, the Tong Shu, goes much further. It rates every day with twelve day officers, dozens of good and bad stars, and lists of what each day suits and does not suit. Families who follow it closely often consult a practitioner for weddings and business openings. The three rules above are the common ground, and they remove the days a traditional elder would object to first.

The Chinese year also has its own lucky colours, numbers and directions, which differ between schools. If you want to bring the Goat year into your home, the feng shui guides on this site cover the basics, starting with Feng Shui for Beginners: What It Actually Is & How to Start. Your own animal's relationship with the Goat matters too: the Ox clashes with the year, and the Goat is in its own animal year, which tradition reads as a time to move with extra care.

If you want the Western and Chinese lists to agree, choose from the good days in this guide. We have already removed the year-breaker and month-breaker days from the monthly lists, so you only need to check your own clash animal.

How do I find my clash day in the Chinese calendar?

Find your birth year animal, then find its opposite in the pairs: Rat and Horse, Ox and Goat, Tiger and Monkey, Rabbit and Rooster, Dragon and Dog, Snake and Pig. Days of that opposite animal are your clash days. Remember that the Chinese year starts in late January or February, so if you were born early in the year, check which animal year you belong to.

Is 2027 a good year for the Ox and the Goat?

Tradition reads 2027 as a year to move carefully for both. The Ox clashes with the Goat, the ruler of the year, and the Goat is in its own animal year, which is called a year of offending the Tai Sui. Many people mark it with small customs, such as wearing red or visiting a temple, and simply choose their big dates with care.

What makes a day lucky in numerology in 2027?

In numerology, a day's luck depends on its universal day number, found by adding every digit of the date until you reach a single digit, or 11 or 22. Each number suits a different kind of move.

1: beginnings, first steps and solo starts.

2: partnership, negotiation and patience.

3: creativity, social plans and announcements.

4: foundations, routines and hard work.

5: change, travel and taking a chance.

6: home, family, love and care.

7: study, rest and reflection.

8: money, business and ambition.

9: finishing, generosity and letting go.

11 and 22: the master numbers, read as inspiration and master building.

Here is a worked example. April 15, 2027 adds up to 4 + 1 + 5 + 2 + 0 + 2 + 7, which is 21, and 2 + 1 is 3. That makes it a 3 day, good for creative and social plans, and it is also one of the clean astrology days of April, with a waxing Moon in Leo.

The year itself adds up to 2 + 0 + 2 + 7, which is 11, the master number of intuition, which reduces to 2. Numerologists read 2027 as a year of relationships, cooperation and quiet progress.

You can make the numbers personal with your personal day. Add your birth month and birth day to the year to get your personal year, then add the calendar month for your personal month, and the calendar day for your personal day, reducing at each step. If your personal day matches the kind of move you are making, numerologists read it as a day that suits you specifically.

Here is an example. Someone born on August 23 has a 2027 personal year of 8 + 2 + 3 + 2 + 0 + 2 + 7, which is 24, and 2 + 4 is 6. In May, their personal month is 6 + 5, which is 11. On May 16, their personal day is 11 + 1 + 6, which is 18, and 1 + 8 is 9. A 9 day is read as a time for finishing, which suits closing a deal more than starting one.

Numerology and astrology can disagree. When they do, most practitioners give the sky the bigger vote for timing and use numbers as a tie breaker. If two clean astrology days are left on your shortlist, choose the one whose number fits your goal.

If you want to understand your year number in more depth, the personal year guides on this site cover each one, from Personal Year 1 in Numerology: Themes, Timing and What to Focus On through to the year of completion, number 9.

What are the best numerology days for money in 2027?

Numerologists favour 8 days for money, business and ambition. Among the clean astrology days in this guide, January 14, March 12, May 19, July 8, October 5, December 3 and December 30 are 8 days. Choose the one where the Moon's sign also suits money: March 12, in Taurus, is the strongest of those.

Is a 22 day lucky?

Numerologists treat 22 as the master builder, a number of turning big plans into real, lasting things. That makes 22 days popular for laying foundations, such as starting a business, a long project or a marriage. In 2027, clean 22 days include September 2, September 11 and December 8, all of them good astrology days as well.

How do you find your own lucky days in 2027?

You find your own lucky days by checking where the year's big transits land in your chart, which you can do from your birthday alone using whole-sign houses. Count your Sun sign as the first house, the next sign as the second, and so on around the zodiac.

Then look at three things.

Jupiter's house. Jupiter is in Leo until July 26, 2027, then in Virgo. The house it moves through is read as the area of life where doors open most easily this year. If Leo is your fifth house, it is a year for joy and creativity. If Virgo is your tenth, career doors open in the second half.

The new and full moons. Each new moon falls in one of your houses and is read as a fresh start in that part of life. The new moon in Aries on April 6 is a fresh start in your first house if you are an Aries, your tenth house if you are a Cancer, and so on.

Your birthday month. The Sun returns to your sign each year, which astrologers read as a personal new year. The month after your birthday is often a good time to begin something that matters to you.

Put the three together, and you have your own shortlist inside the general lucky days in this guide.

This simple method reads your year from your birthday, with no birth time needed. It cannot tell you your rising sign or the exact house of your Moon, which need a birth time, but it gives a clear, honest picture of where the year's energy lands for you.

Here is a short example. Say you are a Sagittarius. With whole-sign houses, Leo is your ninth house and Virgo your tenth. Jupiter in Leo until July 26 is read as a time for travel, study and widening your world. Jupiter in Virgo from July 26 is read as a career lift that builds into 2028. If you want to apply for a promotion or start a business, the clean days from September onward carry Jupiter's support in your career house.

Now say you are a Pisces. Virgo is your seventh house, the house of partners, so Jupiter's move into Virgo on July 26 is read as a generous time for relationships and contracts. The clean days of September, November and December would be especially good for a partnership, an engagement or signing with a collaborator.

These same principles sit behind a personal year-ahead reading built from a birthday: every new moon, full moon, eclipse and retrograde placed into your own houses, month by month. Whether you use a reading or work it out by hand, the aim is the same: put your biggest moves where the year is on your side, and give yourself grace on the days it is not.

Which house is Jupiter in for my sign in 2027?

Count from your Sun sign as house one. Until July 26, Jupiter is in Leo: the first house for Leo, second for Cancer, third for Gemini, fourth for Taurus, fifth for Aries, sixth for Pisces, seventh for Aquarius, eighth for Capricorn, ninth for Sagittarius, tenth for Scorpio, eleventh for Libra and twelfth for Virgo. From July 26, it moves one house further on, into Virgo.

Are my personal lucky days different from the general ones?

They overlap but are not the same. The general list removes days with problems for everyone, like retrogrades and eclipses. Your personal days also depend on which of your houses the Moon and the slow planets are touching. A clean day when the Moon passes through your tenth house, for example, is read as especially good for career moves.

Questions people ask

What is the luckiest day of 2027?

By the classic electional rules, Sunday May 16, 2027 is one of the strongest days of the year: Venus has just come home to Taurus, the Moon is waxing in Libra, Mercury and Mars are direct, no eclipse is near and the Moon is not void of course during the day. For a run of good days rather than one, April 8 to 19 is the cleanest stretch of the year.

What is electional astrology?

Electional astrology is the branch of astrology that chooses the best moment to begin something, such as a wedding, a business, a move or a trip. It treats the chart of that moment as the chart of whatever starts then. In practice, it means avoiding a few known bumps, like Mercury retrograde, eclipses and the void-of-course Moon, and favouring a waxing Moon in a suitable sign.

What are the basic rules of electional astrology?

Start something new on a waxing Moon, ideally a few days after the new moon. Avoid the void-of-course Moon. Avoid Mercury retrograde for contracts, travel and anything with paperwork, and Venus retrograde for love and money. Stay away from eclipse days and the stretch between paired eclipses. Then match the Moon's sign to the purpose, for example Taurus for lasting money matters and Libra for partnerships.

What are the Chinese lucky days in 2027?

Avoid month-breaker days, which clash with the month's animal. And many families avoid big events in the Hungry Ghost month, which runs from August 2 to August 30, 2027 according to the Hong Kong Observatory's calendar.

Is there a Friday the 13th in 2027?

Yes, just one: Friday August 13, 2027. In Western folklore it is an unlucky day, though there is no evidence that it is. Astrologically it falls inside the summer eclipse season, between the total solar eclipse of August 2 and the lunar eclipse of August 17, and in the Hungry Ghost month, so by several traditions it is a day to keep quiet anyway.

What are the lucky days in April 2027?
